Classroom LessonsStudents engage in fun, activity-based lessons from a variety of Social Emotional Learning curriculum. These classroom-based lessons are designed to: increase students' school success, decrease problem behaviors, and promote social-emotional competence and self-regulation. Students receive lessons for 30 minutes every two weeks with Ms. Brekke. These skills are enforced regularly in the classroom through common language and continued skill building. Building Social Emotional Intelligence at home is extremely important as well. After every unit parents will receive a letter providing a brief summary of skills taught and ways skills can continue to be practiced and reinforced at home. Below you will find the Core Curriculum action plan (a list and descriptions of the lessons your child will be receiving this year).
Please see the lesson samples page to check out example of the lessons being taught. |
